My partially started and now kind of neglected @weareknitters sweater is on my maker mind, and I know it's at home just waiting patiently for some handmade love. Can't wait to finish it and get my cozy on.
I had the opportunity to meet and connect with @jms.handmade for a happy little sip and stitch date this afternoon at the most adorable cafe in London (I would recommend @10eighteencafe to everyone).
We mostly sipped and chatted all things maker-life while our yarn sat beside us, but I feel so lucky to be part of this amazing handmade community here on instagram. Without it, instances like this - meeting a fellow crocheter for the first time after connecting on social media - would be few and far between.
Here's to online connections finding there way offline; can't wait to do this tenfold at the @OurMakerLife event this July!
Seeking that simplicity - working towards a year without unnecessary complications & clutter. I want my life to be like the garter stitch: minimal, simple, but classic with all the heart eyes.
A capsule wardrobe is my 2017 attire goal (actually the process started in late 2015 but you know, ya can't rush into these things). I can't count how many bags of clothing I donated last year - like an embarrassing amount - and still my closet is full. Too full. Has anyone accomplished a capsule wardrobe? Got any tips for a simple wardrobe remedial such as myself?
Nature + knitting + mustard + giant topknots + coffee + cozy @la.reserve.design scarf + good company.

Super excited to be part of the Makeology online handmade market for the month of January! This month's theme is white, so check out my white lacy cowl with tie, along with a slew of other beautiful white items from local makers!
Happy new year everyone! I've been taking some time away to reflect on this past year, and figure out where I want to be and what I hope to accomplish in 2017. Got my knitting, my coffee, my delicious @honeyandglow lip balm, and beautiful new @thelivingnorth candle holder to complete my 2017 brainstorming station.
In some ways, I feel confident and excited and ambitious for the clean slate that comes with the beginning of every January. But another part of me feels more lost and uncertain about my path than ever.
I keep asking myself, where do I want to be at the end of this new year? What goals do I want to work towards? What areas do I need to improve upon? Where should I channel my efforts, my time, my passion? What do I want?
Truthfully, I'm not sure anymore. What I was working towards last year (and even the year before), both personally and professionally, may not fit into my life like I thought. So it seems the most important task that lies before me is sketching out the rough draft of my new path.
Here's to a year of personal growth, embracing change, accepting our vulnerability, appreciating the maker community, and deciding what the heck we want to do with our lives!
