Did you know the pattern for this springtime bobble necklace scarf is now available on etsy and ravelry? It's a great beginner project, and a unique accessory for the spring season!
Nature and knits forever. But first, coffee.
Finally putting the finishing touches on my slightly delayed (first) project using the softest merino roving from Mama Knows Clips and Crochet. Can you guess what it is? There may be tassels involved, because I just can't resist any longer.
Did you know you can still get 5% off anything in this talented lady's etsy shop? Use the code KNITBROOKS05 at the checkout and get your own merino (this is also where I bought the giant merino to make my mustard blanket soulmate, if that's what tickles your fancy).
Soft as clouds my friends, soft as clouds.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately,
to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach,
and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
'If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.' -Eleonora Duse.
Since several of you have asked, I'm working on a pattern for this springtime necklace scarf! Should be done within the next few days, and I'm pretty excited about it!
Happy Wednesday, friends.
Hexies, hexies, everywhere. I started connecting them with an invisible seam yesterday, but ended up deciding on a single crochet join so each hexie has a raised boarder.
I'm probably doing this the long way, but I'm loving the pattern by @greenletterday and seriously can't wait until I can start on the next one! I already have my colours planned out
Well, @aprilfreshknits sure knows how to rock the knitbrooks cocoon sweater I sent her! This little fashionista has some beautiful knits too, so be sure to check out her instagram page and spread the love.
I won't be making any more cocoons for a while, but I do have the pattern available! This and all future patterns can be found in my new etsy shop, knitbrooksdiy.etsy.com, which will remain open while my knitwear shop is closed for the next couple of months.
Happy holiday Monday!
I very rarely buy patterns (mainly because I'm the worst at following them), but when I came across the beautiful work of @greenletterday a few days ago I couldn't resist making a hexie afghan of my own.
The last few weeks have been busy and a little overwhelming, so I'm hiding in my favourite cozy nook doing something just for me. I think it's easy to forget to take a moment for yourself to regroup, so I'll be here with my hexies (ignoring how many ends I'll need to tie in when this is finished) for the rest of the long weekend before I have to return to real life. I hope all you busy bees remember to find time for yourselves too
When your friend sends you a flower, just because.
I'm so lucky to have such a caring, thoughtful woman in my life.
